TSSniper's interface is wonky and takes some getting used to. Mind you, it doesn't accept command line parameters, thus the start up is for the naked program without any file loading.ĩ) Organizes its work in "Projects", instead of working with files directly. That means if you save several scenes from 1 file you will always have to type in the name anew.Ħ) Doesn't honor default output paths (at least sometimes).Ĩ) Takes way too long to start up. and ask yourself: If I press "save" what part will it save?ĥ) The output file name is not based on the input file name, but is ALWAYS "new sniper project". I have never seen anything as bizarre and unnecessary and unintuitive as that. Only Haali Media Splitter AR works.Ģ) Due to this error selecting/marking is not possible (= the ruler snaps always back to 0:0:00), but that isn't told anywhere.ģ) Utterly idiotic ridiculous way to mark/select. I must say thank you to the author of this software, because he has spent time and work to give me (or us) for free this piece of software, even if it is so simple and not completely finished.ġ) Whatever splitter I select (Haali, MPC, MAD VR, LAV) it gives me an error "You will not be able to select audio streams". And how can somebody rating "value for money 5 of 10", for a FREE software? If you don't like it, or if you are unable to make it working, just move on to other software, that's so simple. Also, it seems to be reliable, it can cut without problems and without crashes, even if the ts files are partially damaged. >General tab, under Generic behavior you can set the "Default mode for new projects": Cut mode - Cut areas are defined, or Scene mode - Scenes are defined.įor me - I use it ONLY to cut DVB-T ts records - this program is very good, despite it's simplicity. The picture denotes that knn have not even looked at the settings: on Extras > Settings. The "idiotic ridiculous way" is just like old mark style. The previous poster maybe is not familiar with this kind of software, which has more than 1 big "START" button.
